    FULL TIME POSITIONS IN ANTIGUA 31/03/2023

    UK or EASA issued ATPL

    4,000 hours on multi-pilot jet aircraft including 1,500 hours pilot-in command.

    500 hours pilot in command on Embraer 170/E190

    Operated E170/E190 in the last three years

    Operated as PIC (any type) in the last twelve months

    Valid TRI/TRE qualification and able to provide flight instruction in an FSTD for the grant of aircraft type rating.

    3000 hours total time on multi-pilot aircraft over 27,000KG MTOM

    Current type rating and 500 PIC E170/190

    Operated E170/E190 in the last three years

    Operated as PIC (any type) in the last twelve months

    We’re looking for a pilot who is rated on the Embraer E170/E190 and who has a strong interest in safety management. Our ideal applicant will have previously held a post related to SMS and FDM. They could be a Captain or First Officer.

    They’ll need an analytical mind, good communication skills, and to understand the importance of just culture and continuous improvement. They’ll need tact, diplomacy and the trust of their colleagues. They should have completed training in flight data monitoring and have experience as an FDM analyst or gatekeeper. We can provide some training to fill gaps in experience for a candidate with the right attitude who is willing to learn.

    This is a full-time position based in Antigua. “Office” duties will be combined with line flying. You’ll need the flexibility to be available for safety duties at short notice.

    Responsibilities ‒ Flight Safety Officer

    The FSO reports to the DoS and supports him/her in the development, implementation and maintenance of the SMS. He/she:

    (a) Is a role model for pilots and acts as safety champion, supporting open reporting, just and learning culture and continuous improvement in the SMS.

    (b) Is responsible for data analysis of flight data monitoring.

    (b) Brings safety issues identified through FDM to the attention of the DoS.

    (c) Acts as the Trusted Representative (TR) for FDM and liaises with the pilot community on safety issues.

    (d) Protects the confidentiality of FDM data and the identity of pilots from whom he obtains feedback on FDM events.

    (e) Reviews occurrence reports and conducts investigations as directed by DoS.

    (f) Conducts other duties assigned by the DoS.

    (g) Deputises for DoS.

    The Technical Pilot/EFB Administrator will work closely with the Operations Director/Chief Pilot to set up the tools and systems needed to operate our aircraft. They will be responsible for aircraft databases, the EFB and the MEL. They’ll check that our contracted organisations and service providers meet their obligations and that our flight planning and performance tools work how they should. They’ll monitor information published by the aircraft manufacturer, ECCAA and other regulators to ensure our procedures stay up to date.

    This is a full-time position based in Antigua. “Office” duties will be combined with line flying. The successful applicant will have a university degree in a technical subject or equivalent professional qualifications. They could be a Captain or First Officer. They will have an excellent knowledge of navigation procedures, aircraft performance, mass and balance and EFB. They’ll know their way around iPad OS and mobile device management.

    Our ideal candidate will have held a similar position for another aircraft operator, used manufacturers’ manuals from Embraer and Airbus and be type rated on the Embraer E170/E190. Type rating training could be provided for the right candidate. We may also provide some technical training to fill gaps if you don’t meet all the previous experience requirements.

    Responsibilities ‒ Technical Pilot

    The TP supports CP with flight operations technical tasks; specifically, he/she:

    (a) Ensures that navigational databases used on CFA Global aircraft are suitable and valid.

    (b) Ensures that flight crew have the tools and data they need for aircraft performance and mass and balance calculations.

    (c) Ensures that flight crew have access to all maps, charts and documents required for a flight.

    (d) Assesses airports for authorisation and categorisation according to the requirements of 8.1.2.

    (f) Verifies that external organisations that provide flight technical services or products have the necessary approvals, resources and competence.

    (g) Reviews flight operations documents and information published by aircraft manufacturers and recommends appropriate action.

    (h) Recommends changes to operating procedures to improve safety or efficiency.

    (i) Reviews safety-related information published by ECCAA and other relevant organisations and recommends changes to policies or operating procedures.

    (j) Amends the MEL so that it remains up to date with the MMEL for the applicable aircraft type and ensures that operational procedures in the MEL are appropriate.

    (g) Is the subject matter expert for flight planning and aircraft performance.

    (h) Supervises the EFB administrator.

    Responsibilities – EFB Administrator (EFBA)

    The EFB administrator reports to the TP and is responsible for the management of the EFB system. He/she:

    (a) Controls the hardware and software configuration of the EFB system.

    (b) Ensures that the hardware used as the EFB host platform is suitable and does not interfere with aircraft

    systems.

    (c) ConductsoperationalevaluationsandriskassessmentsoftheEFBsystemandinstalledapplications.

    (d) Evaluates the suitability of viewable stowages for each aircraft type.

    (e) Monitors changes to standards, regulations and best practices relating to EFB, and recommends improvements to the EFB system.

    (f) Manages changes to the EFB system, including:

    (1) checking that any new hardware used as an EFB host platform is suitable and does not interfere with aircraft systems;

    (2) checking application and operating-system updates before authorising their use;

    (3) ensuring that current databases are available.

    (g) Maintains the EFBM up to date.

    (h) Maintains records of the status of individual EFB devices, including:

    (1) the type of device and serial number;

    (2) the person or aircraft to which it is issued;

    (3) the operating-system version;

    (4) a list of installed applications;

    (5) the revision status of each application on each device.

    (i) Arranges for repair or replacement of faulty devices.

    (j) Organises training on the administration and use of the EFB system.
